Good light is essential to see well and this need increases as we grow older. With each passing decade our eyes deteriorate and begin to struggle to focus. If you don’t have good light you’ll end up straining your eyes as you try to focus properly.

However not all daylight bulbs are the same. Cheaper bulbs are often like normal ones but given a blue hue. Full spectrum daylight bulbs, on the other hand, throw out the same spectrum of light as you get from the sun. You’ll find these bulbs used in a sad lamp that are designed to be used by individuals who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder. They don’t have to be just used by those suffering from SAD, they give excellent light for all.
