Sunglasses, They Make You Look Great!

Choosing new glasses, whether they are prescription glasses or sunglasses, can change the way you look.Glasses are not purely a functional thing to help you see more clearly, they also say something about your personality and individuality.You have to be comfortable in your glasses and confident that you look good too, which explains why so many people are choosing to buy designer glasses and designer sunglasses nowadays.

There are literally hundreds of designer styles, shapes, materials, colours and sizes available nowadays.  The choice sometimes seems overwhelming.   With designer glasses, the image you want to project is probably the consideration.  If you mostly wear glasses at work, then you might want to look at a more sober, traditional, classic pair of glasses.  If you want to make a statement and go for bright unrestrained glasses there are dozens of recognised designer brands out there, including Prada glasses for example that combine an intrinsic sense of style with the name recognition that is more of a fashion and lifestyle statement.  Whichever way you lean, choose designer glasses to suit the shape of your face and not just your outfits or your desired social standing.  The same is true when choosing designer sunglasses. 

If you’ve got a square face then round or oval style frames will probably suit you best.   If you have a broad forehead tapering to a small chin and mouth try smaller styles, slender rounded or square with lower set sides. Avoid styles that are wider at the top as these will accentuate the face shape rather than balance it and look at styles without decorative detail on the temples as this will have the same effect. People with a round face and chin can get away with wider styles.Large frames or small round ones will only exaggerate the roundness of your face.

The face that suits any style is oval shaped with a wide forehead, high cheekbone and curved jawline, if this is you, you can take the pick of the bunch.A long face with high cheekbones and a deep forehead will look good with wider glasses that have a stronger top line.  A larger, square frame will help ‘balance’ a long oval face, although you should avoid small square shapes. If your forehead is narrower than your jaw then bolder, more adventrous frames will look good on you, but you should avoid narrower styles.

With designer sunglasses in particular, remember that, aside from making you look good,   the primary role of these items is still to protect your eyes from the harmful effects of UV radiation.  If you can, try the glasses on for comfort, style and feel.Most importantly remember that the only person you really need to please is yourself!
