Many people wear glasses.And there are different reasons for that. Some of us just need them to see well, others like wearing glasses to boost their image.Its quite all right with everyone but it often happens that people dont know which glasses look good on them, I mean the frame shape.

When shopping for eyeglass frames, its tempting to get caught up in trends rather than designs that complement your face shape. But you should understand that eyeglasses trends come and go as any other fashion trend, and you dont have to choose a style just because it is trendy.

The general rule with eyeglasses is to select a frame shape that flatters the shape of your face. For example when it comes to size, be careful to choose small delicate frames if you have a small, delicate face, and the dramatic larger frames if your face has bold features or is larger.

However, there are some exceptions to this. So, if you want to accentuate the smallness of your facial features, big, bold frames will draw additional attention to your features.To emphasize your strong, square jaw line which you like a lot and want people to notice that, go ahead and get those square frames that will parallel your jaw.

Basic Face Shapes and the Right Frames An oval face is considered to be nearly perfect because of its balanced proportions, so, if you have an oval face, you are really lucky You can choose nearly any type of eyeglass frames and look well wearing them. But keep in mind that a frame should follow the curve of the brow and be as wide as (or wider than) the broadest part of the face to balance the shape of your face.

The oblong face is usually longer than it is wide and has a long straight cheek line and sometimes a longish nose.To create an illusion of a shorter and more balanced face, try frames that have a top-to-bottom depth, decorative or contrasting temples that add width to the face or a low bridge to shorten the nose.

A round face has the width and length in the same proportions and no angles.To make the face appear thinner and longer, try angular narrow frames, a clear bridge that widens the eyes and frames that are wider than they are deep, such as a rectangular shape.Frames which are made in deep colors such as black or tortoise also minimize fullness.

Never opt for round frames though.A square face has an angular jaw line and a broad forehead, the width and length of the face are in the same proportions. To make the square face appear longer and make the angles softer, you should try narrow frames which have more width than depth and narrow ovals.The best type of a frame for a square face is a rounded frame or an oval shape.

Choose frames that are slightly curved. The top of the frames should sit high enough on the face to minimize the jaw line. Stay away from small and square frames.

The base-down triangular face has a narrow forehead that widens at the cheek and chin areas. To make the face wider at the top and narrower at the bottom, try frames that are heavily accented with color and have detailing on the top half.

The base-up triangle face has a very wide top part and a small bottom part. To downplay the width of the top of the face, opt for frames that are wider at the bottom and of very light colors and materials. Rimless frame styles will also help you create the right proportions.

Avoid wearing frames too high on the face. Large frames, heavy nose bridges, bold colors and square shapes are not your choice.Heart-Shaped Faces. A heart-shaped face is wide at the forehead and the temples but narrow at the chin.

Choose frames with the opposite shape, that is an upside-down heart. Look for frames that are wider at the bottom and are narrower at the top. This type of frame is not easy to find, so try other types as square shaped, rimless or semi-rimless glasses.

Diamond face shape. This face shape is narrow at the eye line and the jaw line, and cheekbones are often high and dramatic. To highlight the eyes and bring out the cheekbones, select frames that have detailing or distinctive brow lines, or try rimless frames or oval and cat-eye shapes.
