Before putting contacts into your eyes at any time you must wash and dry your hands thoroughly. You must lather and scrub your hands with warm water for 30 seconds.

Do not install contacts over a bathroom sink as sinks are full of bacteria and you may accidentally drop the lens down the drain. Instead work over a clean desk or table with a magnifying mirror. To avoid the mixup of your lenses by mistake, open the case that holds your contacts one side

Repeat the process for the second one when after the first lens in place. Rinse the case with clean contact lens solution and dump any remaining solution down the drain.

The tip of the optimum contact lens solution bottle must be touched to anything. It’s contents sterile and this will help to keep the bottle.

This is especially true if your contacts are in and while you should never rub your eyes. You could scratch the cornea of your eye and cause major damage. Never use water or saliva and contact lenses should only be re-wetted with contact solution.

Watch your eyes to the accumulation of mucus like material. This is an indication of a problem with the contacts and they should be removed and kept away until the problem is resolved. This is to give the eye time to heal and prevent contamination of the contact.

Every three months, the contact lens case should be replaced. As directed by your doctor, contacts should be replaced. Don’t try to wear contact lenses for longer than suggested by a physician.
