Sunglasses, They Make You Look Great!

Do you know which shape of sunglasses most complement your face shape? Most people do and if they don’t all they need do is ask a good friend to be honest with them, then, choosing your designer sunglasses online is less of a problem. All you need to do is to stick a couple of rules and choose a store that has a returns service if you change your mind.

You first need to work out what your basic face shape is and this is where your friend comes in as they may see it more clearly than you. Make sure you get the right colour lens to suit your skin colourings. For instance, light coloured rose or amber tints may suit pale skins while silver, gold or clear suit a darker skin. Be careful on what you choose if you are looking to use your sunglasses for a particular sport thought and take advice as there may be other considerations to take into account.

Basically, if your face is small look for smaller glasses and if your face is larger look for larger glasses. Don’t choose designer sunglasses with a similar frame shape to your dominant face shape as it is unlikely to work.

If we start with the curvier faces and yours is round, go opposite and get a rectangular pair of wider sunglasses as these will make your face look thinner. However, head for a narrower frame if your face is heart-shaped. Should you be lucky enough to have an oval face, you are lucky as most of the shapes will suit you, particularly wider frames.

If you have a more angular diamond shaped face with a small forehead and chin but high cheekbones, you may find that a narrow oval shape will complement your face better as they will balance the shape. Square frames with rounded corners may work well, but ensure that the glasses do not extend past the high-point of the cheekbone. You can also soften the chin for triangular shaped faces by going for something that draws attention to the eyes such as an oval, perhaps with just an upper metal frame.

If your face is squarer you need to softened the outline a little, so try an oval shape frame. Should you face be more of an oblong the shape will be balanced by either round or square glasses that add width, for example, decorative or contrasting temples can achieve an illusion of width.
